Last friday Friday while we were winding up our tasks to leave for the day, there was a common question on the floor "What plans for the weekend" and my answer to that was "nothing much really, will probaly catch up with a friend for a drink on saturday"
And thats what i did, Caught up with a friend on saturday evening for a drink in Kormangala at the Spirits.
Little did i know that in a few hours , i would be flying out of bangalore. We were enjoying our drinks, and all of a sudden i had this urge to get out of there, not just the pub but the city .would have even thought of getting out of the country at the moment, but guess the alcohol had not taken complete control over my senses and i knew i didnt have any valid Visa. So there i was choosing destinations i could go to immediately. The first thought was Delhi as the pubs are open till 4:00AM so i could shift my party to a different pub ofcoarse in a different city.
So i came back to my friends place and looked for the flights, and dont know what happened and i decided the travel to Pune (dont know what caused that change, could be the timings or the cost of the Ticket.. not sure about that)
Booked a flight to Pune for 5:50 and return to bangalore at 00:40 hrs the same day.booked the airport pick up too.
spend the next few hours watching TV. And finally the cab arrived and i was on my way to the airport.
It felt amazing the feeling of being free, the distance (around 850 KM) didnt matter, nor did anything else.
There i was doing what i always wanted to, act on my own free will.
I did not have to think of how sane my descion is , how much money it would cost.
What mattered to me in that moment was what would make me happy.
I spend a day in Pune doing nothing and was back to bangalore. It might have left a dent on my wallet but i do not care. At the end i was happy about my descion and the fact that i define my own life, atleast "starting to" and this was a small step towards it!!!
